What to expect at your first lesson
The session lasts fifty minutes and follows a clear rhythm. You begin with approximately twenty minutes of gentle yoga and breathing, calmly, without rushing, under the guidance of a certified instructor. This is not about athletic performance; it is about slowing down.
Then the puppies arrive. They roam freely between the mats, curl up at your feet, or head off to their quiet zone for a nap, always depending on their mood. No one forces them to be where they don't want to be.
The final fifteen minutes of the lesson are for you and the puppies only, cuddling, playtime, photos. Exactly the moment that brings people back again.
Each session is dedicated to one breed and features several puppies from the same litter, so you know in advance which canine group awaits you. The group is intimate, limited to a maximum of twelve people, and takes place in our premises at Břehová 40/1, just a few minutes from Staroměstská metro station, right in the heart of Prague.
Who is this for: even complete yoga beginners
You don't need to know anything at all. The lesson is gentle and the instructor guides you throughout, so basic positions are sufficient. Honestly, you'll be laughing with the puppies most of the time, leaving little room for perfect technique.
It is suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners, tourists (lessons are bilingual, in Czech and English), and families, children from 6 years old may attend accompanied by an adult. Each participant has their own reservation and their own mat.
Not sure if yoga is for you? Forget about it and come mainly for the puppies, yoga here is a gentle introduction, not the goal in itself. Maybe you're worried about being the worst at the exercises in the room, after a few minutes with your first puppy on your lap, you'll stop caring just like everyone else.
What to bring with you
Comfortable clothing that can get a bit dirty is all you need: puppies don't distinguish between the lawn and a new T-shirt. Yoga mats are provided on site; there's no need to bring your own. And feel free to bring a good mood too, though it usually arrives on its own.
You can therefore leave any special equipment you would otherwise need for yoga at home. The only things truly required are an open mind and a willingness to slow down during the first half-hour before the programme's main star arrives.
How to treat puppies
The basic rule is simple: the puppies decide, not you. Let them come over when they want company and let them go when they want quiet. If a puppy dozes off in the quiet zone, its sleep is never disturbed.
That is why the lessons are short and without loud music or chasing, just stay calm, speak quietly and let them come to you on their own. We work only with proven breeders we have known for a long time, and the puppies arrive vaccinated and at the ideal age for socialisation. After each lesson they always return to their mother and littermates.
If you come with children, they will easily learn the same rule: pet, observe, and let the puppy go if it wants to leave. Every participant has their own mat and reservation, so you can maintain your own space even with children.
